Affiliate Program Terms
v1-2026-05-141. Definitions
"Sacred Journey" refers to Sacred Studios Inc., the operator of the affiliate program. "Affiliate" means an individual or entity approved to promote Sacred Journey products in exchange for commission. "Commission" means the share of qualifying-order revenue paid to the Affiliate under the rate confirmed during onboarding.
2. Eligibility
You must be 21 years of age or older and a resident of the United States to apply. Applications from human-consumption-targeted audiences are not accepted; Sacred Journey products are functional wellness supplements and may not be promoted as medical treatments or diagnoses.
3. Application & acceptance
Submission of an application does not create an affiliate relationship. Sacred Journey reviews each application at its sole discretion and may approve or reject without explanation. Acceptance of these Terms is required at application; subsequent material amendments require re-acceptance via the affiliate dashboard.
4. Tracking & attribution
Conversions attribute via (a) admin-issued coupon codes carrying your affiliate ID, or (b) a 90-day signed last-click cookie set by your tracking link. When both are present, code attribution wins. Self-referral (orders from your own email or account) is automatically blocked.
5. Commission rate
Sacred Journey pays a single flat commission rate to all approved affiliates. Your specific rate is confirmed at onboarding and may be amended only by written notice from Sacred Journey. Commission is calculated per Section 6 below.
6. Commission base
Commission is calculated on the post-all-discount product subtotal. Tax and shipping are excluded. For subscription orders, only the first-charge transaction is eligible; renewals do not earn additional commission. Wholesale orders are never eligible.
7. Customer-side discount
Affiliate-issued coupon codes grant the customer a default 5% discount, configurable per code by Sacred Journey administrators.
8. Pending → approved → paid lifecycle
Conversions enter "pending" status for 30 days from the order placement date — the refund and chargeback window. Conversions that survive this period without a chargeback against the underlying order are promoted to "approved." Approved conversions queue for the next biweekly payout. The minimum payout threshold is $50; under-threshold balances roll forward to the next period.
9. Chargebacks & refund clawback
A chargeback against an attributed order voids the corresponding pending commission. Approved-but-unpaid commissions are reversed and reflected as a negative adjustment on the next payout. Paid commissions create a carry-forward debit balance offset against future payouts. Partial refunds claw back a proportional share of commission. Affiliates with chargeback rates exceeding 1.5% over their trailing-90-day attributed orders are auto-frozen pending review.
10. FTC disclosure
You must clearly and prominently disclose your affiliate relationship with Sacred Journey on every promotion across every channel, in compliance with FTC §255 (the FTC Endorsement Guides). Sacred Journey provides a per-channel disclosure guide at /affiliate/disclosure-guide. Use of misleading compliance language is prohibited.
11. Brand-keyword PPC prohibition
Affiliates may not bid on Sacred Journey brand-name keywords or close variants on any paid-search platform (Google Ads, Bing Ads, Apple Search Ads, etc.). Violation results in immediate termination and clawback of all unpaid commissions.
12. No sub-affiliate programs
Sub-affiliate or multi-level referral programs (MLM-style) are prohibited. Affiliates earn commission only on direct attributed conversions.
13. Suspension & termination
Sacred Journey may suspend or terminate any affiliate at any time for ToS violation, fraud, or business reasons. Termination for fraud results in forfeiture of unpaid balances. All other terminations preserve approved-unpaid balances for final payout.
14. Tax forms (W-9 / 1099-NEC)
Before your first payout, a signed W-9 must be submitted via your affiliate dashboard. Your TIN is encrypted at rest and only the last four digits are visible to Sacred Journey staff. For tax years where your earnings exceed the federal $600 threshold, Sacred Journey will issue a 1099-NEC by January 31 of the following year, delivered via your selected method (electronic or postal).
15. Intellectual property
Sacred Journey grants you a limited, revocable, non-transferable license to use Sacred Journey logos and product imagery solely for the purpose of promoting Sacred Journey products. You may not modify these assets, register them as trademarks, or use them in misleading contexts.
16. No employment relationship
You are an independent contractor. Nothing in these Terms creates an employment, partnership, joint-venture, or agency relationship between you and Sacred Journey.
17. Confidentiality
You agree to keep confidential any non-public information shared by Sacred Journey, including pricing, customer data, and product roadmap items, both during your participation in the program and indefinitely after termination.
18. Disclaimer & liability cap
The affiliate program is provided "as is." Sacred Journey's aggregate liability under these Terms is limited to the total commissions paid to you in the trailing 12 months.
19. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold Sacred Journey harmless from any claims arising from your promotion activities, including FTC complaints, false advertising claims, and intellectual-property disputes.
20. Modification
Sacred Journey may amend these Terms at any time. Material amendments require re-acceptance via the affiliate dashboard. The current version of these Terms is identified by a version stamp at the top of this page.
21. Governing law & dispute resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware. Any dispute arising under these Terms shall be resolved by binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association, with the seat of arbitration in Wilmington, Delaware.
22. Severability & entire agreement
If any provision of these Terms is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full effect. These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Sacred Journey regarding the affiliate program.
